so next up I'm gonna read Dragons of Highlord Skies from the Dragonlance series (one of my FAV series of all time. ugh, good old D&D-esque fantasy goodness) and Mistborn: The Final Empire which just sounded interesting on B&N.com

I also want Karen Miller to come out with the next book in the Godspeaker Trilogy. OMG. If you like fantasy and haven't read any of her books whether they be from the Godspeaker Trilogy or the Kingmaker, Kingbreaker duet, LOVE OF GOD READ THEM. they are so awesome, and the characters are just so unique, I'm obsessed @__@; maybe it's because her protagonists are kinda jackasses, but in a loveable way. :D

I need her to write books faster dammit xD;!

So, I've fallen into a book drought for March/April. I'll be fine in May when Stephenie Meyer's The Host comes out *spazzes*

But anyway, so I just finished Karen Miller's Kingmaker, Kingbreaker two-book series (Innocent Mage and Awakened Mage), which I have to say was a lot better than I thought. I was expecting a generic "one wizard to save them all!@(&!111" kinda story, and instead got some really unique and deep characters in two moderate-length books with a decent storyline.

Though, I probably enjoyed it most because the main character, Asher, is a dick, which is unusual in these kinds of stories xD BUT HE'S A COMPASSIONATE JERK. IF THAT MAKES SENSE AT ALL. AND HIS BFF GAR WAS AWESOME. <3 xD

SO NOW I'M OUT OF SHIT TO READ 8|

I started reading the Otherland series again, which I loved TO DEATH when I first read it. (READ IT RENA DDD:) The series had amazing characters and vivid imagery that blew my mind to pieces, not to meant a CRAZY AWESOME plot, just FYI. But they are reaaaaally long, like 700 pages a book, and its 4 books long xD

SO THAT CAN KEEP ME TILL MAY.

But I would like something new to read rather than rehashing Otherland, even though it was really good.

Anyone got any suggestions for a good fantasy, sci-fi, even fantasy/sci-fi romance if you can't think of anything else? D: I do happen to like vampire stories, btw, but yes I've read Anne Rice.

Don't say Twilight. I've already sold my soul to that series. *drools

Sadly, I can't think of a mature way to say this, so I won't bother: What the fuck are you talking about? Maybe you should look at the damn game, and some movies that are rated PG13, and see which one's got more nudity in it before you talk shit about damn good games like Mass Effect. Shut your fucking mouth, right now.

Really, while playing Mass Effect, I realized I see more nudity in LOST than I did in that game. Go Geoff for trying to put that bitch in her place.

It's just really infuriating to see people talk like this, because you know there's a ton more people out there who are too busy ranting on how video games are "damaging to teenage boys' minds", when they should be looking at the game itself, and then other media forms. Not to mention there are girls who play games, and adults who play games. It's not like every gamer out there is a freaking prepubescent male.

It really pisses me off, it really does, because there's no solution to it really.

Until all those dumbasses die that is. I'm serious, when they all die, the kids who grew up with video games will well, know video games, and become tolerant of them like everyone is tolerant of the movie industry.

So, I'm going to go play Mass Effect now, just to spite that brainless bitch! :D!!!
